Bad Honnef

Bad HONNEF (postal code: 53604) is situated in a particularly scenic location between the Rhine and the Nature park Siebengebirge. Explore the beautiful hamlets of Rhöndorf, Rommersdorf-Bondorf, Selhof or Aegidienberg or visit the Konrad-Adenauer-Haus with its remarkable memorial to the first Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany. Discover the many parks or let the car-free island of Grafenwerth relax your soul. There is also an outdoor swimming pool, which invites you to relax after the evening in summer.

Popular hiking destinations on the well-developed paths in the Siebengebirge and on the Rhine trail with a refreshment possibility are Löwenburg, Dragon Rock and large mount of mountains. Backpacks offer Breiberg, Himmerich and Leyberg spektkuläre views. All hiking destinations can be easily reached from Rhöndorf, Rommersdorf, town centre, Selhof and Aegidienberg. Free parking is available in Rhöndorf (Ziepchesplatz), Rhine Promenade (stop Line 66) and Schmelztal Straße L 144 (hiking parking). Designated accesses to the Rhine Trail can be found in Rhöndorf (distance from train station/parking lot, approx. 10 minutes) and at the Youth hostel in Selhof. (distance from train station/parking approx. 30 minutes).

On the opposite side of the Rhine, the Rolandsbogen is a popular excursion destination. Here is also a detour to the ARP-museum station Rolandseck to recommend.

The line network ensures a good connection with the railway (Regional Express) to Cologne/Bonn (Airport) and Koblenz, by tram (S-Bahn, Subway) to Bonn/Beuel and Siegburg (Ice-station) as well as urban with various bus lines and the call-collecting-taxi .
The next stop is only 100m away from the apartment at the Aegidiusplatz on Aegidienberger Street. Here you can reach the lines 560 and 562. At the railway station bad HONNEF you reach trains in the direction of Bonn, Cologne and Koblenz. In Bad Honnef, there is also a tram line 66, with which the towns on the Rhine between bad Honnef and Siegburg can be reached.

By car you can reach the A3 within a few minutes, from where you will be able to reach Siegburg, Troisdorf, Neustadt (Wied) and Ferntal within 15 minutes by normal traffic.

Along the most beautiful sections of the Rhine, the fireworks show „Rhein in Flames“ takes place every year from May to September. Shining Bengalfeuer on the first weekend of May, the banks and sights between Linz and Bonn are immersed in a festive light.

Mountains and castles are magically beautiful, the landscape is romantically staged. Surrounded by five fireworks, a festive illuminated ship fleet from Linz goes back to Bonn until a music-synchronous fire spectacle in the Bonn Rheinaue forms the culminating conclusion of the Saturday evening. In addition to the fireworks, an entertainment and stage programme is offered in the Rheinaue in Bonn from Friday to Sunday.

Another attraction is the annual „Pützchens market“. In addition to a variety of rides, culinary specialities are also offered.

From Bonn there are various connections to the surrounding cities such as Siegburg, Troisdorf and Cologne. They can be reached easily by train.

Hennef
